In this milestone update to Rootshell Platform, we introduce an advanced automation system designed to streamline and scale the vulnerability remediation process: the Automation Center.
Additionally, this update includes not one, but two of the most highly requested integrations; Microsoft Defender and AWS Inspector, as well as improvements to the Compare Results feature, the addition of Service Accreditations for MSSPs, and more!
The Automation Center
Say goodbye to time-consuming manual processes and hello to increased productivity with Rootshell’s intuitive process builder. The user-friendly interface helps you set up rules in minutes, saving time and boosting team performance.
The automation center includes six powerful triggers used to build rule sets that will allow you to effortlessly prioritize and manage your vulnerabilities, including:
- Active Exploit
- Exploit
- Asset Priority Rating
- Issue Severity Rating
- Issue Keyword
- Tags
There are currently eight different actions that can be associated with these triggers, including:
- Assign a User
- Assign to Team(s)
- Create a Jira Ticket
- Create a ServiceNow Ticket
- Recast an Issue
- Assign a Tag
- Change an Issue Status
- Assign an Asset Priority Rating
Rootshell Now Integrates with Microsoft Defender Vulnerability Management
We’re thrilled to announce our integration with Microsoft Defender 365, the ultimate tool for ensuring that your organization has the most up-to-date and comprehensive security measures in place.

New Integration with AWS Inspector
We’re excited to announce our game-changing integration with AWS Inspector allowing users to seamlessly connect Rootshell and import daily, weekly, or monthly vulnerability data with ease.
Amazon Inspector is an automated vulnerability management service that continually scans AWS workloads for software vulnerabilities and unintended network exposure. You can easily view findings from your ECR, EC2, and Lambda functions, giving you unprecedented visibility into your AWS security posture.
With this data imported into Rootshell, users can harness the power of the daily exploit detection service that utilises the CVE detail passed across from AWS Inspector. In turn, using Rootshells powerful reporting and trending capabilities, users will be able to add even greater context to these results, allowing users to prioritise remediation efforts.
Expanded Compare Results Functionality
The Compare Results feature allows you to easily track changes and improvements over time, gain greater insights into your project’s performance, and make data-driven decisions that will drive your success.
Rootshell’s Compare Results feature has become so popular that it has been given a dedicated menu item and expanded functionality. Users are now able to compare any two phases or scans side by side, regardless of project type.
Previously, this feature was only available for vulnerability scanning projects; based on client feedback we have made it available for all types of projects.
Service Accreditations – Security Providers
As a security service provider, you can now boost your credibility by including your industry accreditations in the first page of your Rootshell generated reports using Rootshell’s new Service Provider Accreditations feature.
