Application Features

Frontend Framework Upgrade

Overview

We’ve successfully migrated the platform’s frontend to a newer version of our underlying framework. This upgrade brings performance improvements, increased stability, and a more responsive user experience.

Key Benefits

  • Improved Performance: Faster load times and smoother interactions across the platform.

  • Greater Stability: Reduced risk of UI bugs and enhanced reliability.

  • Foundation for Future Enhancements: Enables us to deliver new features and design improvements more efficiently going forward.

This upgrade ensures a more modern, robust experience as we continue to evolve the platform.

In-Progress Import Banner in Phase/Scan View

Overview

To improve user visibility and confidence during imports, a new banner has been added to the project → phase/scan view to clearly indicate when an import is in progress.

Key Enhancement

  • Real-Time Import Notification: Users will now see a banner message within the phase or scan view when a manual or auto import is actively running.

Banner Message:
“An import is in progress and all issues and metrics are subject to change until the import has completed.”

This update provides clearer feedback and ensures users are aware that data may still be updating during the import process.

Questionnaire Locking to Prevent Data Overwrites

Overview

To prevent data loss caused by multiple users editing the same questionnaire simultaneously, we’ve introduced a new questionnaire locking mechanism.

Key Enhancements

  • Real-Time Locking: When a user opens a questionnaire, it becomes locked to other users to avoid conflicting edits.

  • User Visibility: Other users can see who currently has the questionnaire open.

  • Helpful In-Page Banner: A visible banner alerts users when a questionnaire is locked, providing clarity on who is editing it.

  • Auto-Unlock: After 5 minutes of inactivity, the questionnaire becomes available again.

This improvement ensures data integrity and a smoother experience when collaborating on questionnaire responses.

Operational Features

Importer Normalisation Upgrade

Overview

As part of our ongoing commitment to data accuracy and performance, we’ve upgraded the way our importers operate through a new normalisation process. This enhancement standardises imported data across all supported sources, ensuring greater consistency, reliability, and alignment across issues, assets, and metadata.

Key Benefits

  • Improved Data Consistency: Vulnerabilities from different tools are now aligned to a common structure, improving deduplication and reporting accuracy.

  • Enhanced Issue Matching: Normalised imports improve how the platform correlates recurring issues across scans and sources.

  • Scalable for Large Datasets: Optimised to handle significantly larger scan files and complex datasets without compromising performance.

  • Future-Ready Integration: This upgrade lays the groundwork for broader compatibility with third-party tools and supports more seamless multi-source environments.

This improvement enhances the overall integrity of imported data and ensures a more unified view across your vulnerability landscape.

Document Creation & Template Enhancements

Overview

We’ve made a series of improvements to the document creation process and template management to enhance usability, layout consistency, and navigation.

Key Enhancements

  • Document Creation Fixes: Core functionality issues have been resolved, ensuring documents generate reliably.

  • Improved Navigation: Template management and document generation are now more intuitive, with streamlined page transitions.

  • Updated Template Preview: Live previews now better reflect real-time changes, allowing for quicker and more accurate editing.

  • Enhanced Heading Numbering: Support for multi-level headings (e.g. 1.1.1, 1.1.1.1) improves structure and clarity in complex documents.

  • Smarter Contents Pages: Table of contents now reflects multi-level heading structures accurately.

These updates improve both the accuracy and ease of producing high-quality, well-structured documentation within the platform.
